I Can Hardly Keep Up!

Everyday there seems to be another issue popping up of another fabulous online magazine. Yesterday we got a new issue of Matchbook, which comes out monthly. I've felt lukewarm about Matchbook in the past, this is issue was chock-full of inspiration! Behold, my favorites!

1. A fabulous round up of a modern-day Amelia Earheart.

2. 50 Green Products - that were absolutely adorable.

3. We all know I can't resist a picture of an adorable pup.

4. I've always loved the way carpet poms look (this is what designers use to select colors for custom rugs.)

5. Amazing jewels.

6. I can't resist gorgeous florals.

You can't have too much of a good thing - I can read online design & lifestyle magazines 'til I'm blue in the face.

J'adore Adore

I always adore Adore - an Australian online home magazine. And their newest issue doesn't disappoint.

I love that they had LOTS of colorful, patterned gorgeousness.

My other favorite thing - they showed lots of full rooms. I love all the online design magazines, but some show too many close-up vignettes and not enough of the overall spaces... This one is chock-full of inspiration images!

You can't have too much of a good thing

You really can't have too much of a good thing. Like cupcakes, puppies & online design magazines.

Here's another online design magazine goodie - Collected. I love that it's got a different voice and vibe than the other ones currently out there. Check out Collected Mag!

Love the clean layout.

Now I'm inspired to go out and check out some new {to me} LA spots. And eat too many cupcakes {so maybe there can be too much of a good thing}

Trad Home!

As I've said before, I'm an online magazine junkie. I read Rue, Lonny, High Gloss, Matchbook, Adore, Dabble... And now, twice a year, I get to look forward to Trad Home - an online read by Traditional Home magazine. They paired up with Lonny (I'm not sure if that was just for this issue, or forever.) Whatever their long term plan is, they knocked this one out of the park. Their spread of the 20 "new trad designers" was filled with so many gorgeous inspiration images, my head almost exploded...

Some of my favorite images:

Only sad thing- this magazine is only going to come out twice a year. I need more!

High Gloss Closets

I finalllllly got around to reading the newest issue of High Gloss Magazine - and it was filled with great inspiration images! I have to be honest, Rue and Lonny are the two design magazines that are my favorites, but there are so many other good ones out there, sometimes it's hard to keep up...

Anyways, here are my fav images from High Gloss - these amazing closet shots. It's giving me major closet envy. Closets are something I've blogged about lots these days... maybe it's time to take some of my hard earned $money$ and turn my sad little closet into something fabulous!

Did anyone else read the mag and notice the $5000 earrings and a $1000 scarf? Is it me, or are their goodies more than most people want to spend!?

Shoe Blues

I bought the top pictured Calvin Klein shoes on Gilt Group (for something ridiculously cheap like $30 buckaroos). But I just don't love the matte gray color with anything I wear and haven't worn them yet, but can no longer return them. I saw the second ones in High Gloss Magazine from Sigerson Morrison... Do you think I can change shoe #1 into shoe #2? Taking my shoes (and this blog post) to my shoe guy this week to find out!

Spring Fling

Loved the April/May issue of Adore Magazine - particularly all the gorgeous spring-y florals!

They reminded me of these Johnny Was goodies I spotted in the Neiman Marcus catalog...

New Kids on the Block

Have you checked out the newest online design mag yet - High Gloss? This morning I posted my reading list of design mags, but High Gloss had not made it's debut yet. Well, I poured through it while eating my breakfast, and I have to admit I'm in love.

My absolute favorite spread was this bohemian, eclectic LA home. {design by tia zoldan, pics by grey crawford, words by paloma contreras}

Editor Erin Gates killed it with this gorgeous bachelorette pad {interior design by erin gates, words by alcira molina-ali, pics by sarah winchester}

Hoooray for new mags! Because all my friends know that reading a design mag (online or paper) and sipping a cup of coffee is probably my favorite activity!

Reading List

I am so thrilled that there are SO many choices for online design inspiration. When magazines like Domino and Blueprint went away, I was worried where I would get my inspiration from. Sure, I love Elle Decor, but those magazines seemed to be the voice of my generation of designers. Thank goodness for the internet and online magazine publishing, because online design and lifestyle magazines are popping up all over and I'm loving it!

I was checking out the latest addition to the online magazines - Matchbook... It's an adorable lifestyle mag.

Loved this yellow pillow from Lela Rose's home {piece written by Caitlin McGinn and photographed by Andrew Richards} The magazine is more lifestyle than interiors, and there were some great spreads, like the 50 wardrobe pieces that are a must-have for every woman.

Here's a round-up of some other online magazines I can't seem to put down:

I love Lonny, who I consider to be the pioneers of online design magazines.

Some of my favorite shots from their Jan/Feb issue:

{designed by Lynn Nigro}

{designed by Hillary Thomas}{both articles written by Shawn Gauthier and photographed by Patrick Cline}

Lonny also has a fantastic website (where you can search for inspiration images by room) and an inspired blog.

Rue Magazine recently came out with their third issue, which I have to say was amazing.

My favorite space is still the living room of Nicole from Sketch 42 (which I wrote about last week.){photos by Emily Anderson, copy by Erica Reitman}

I also adore Adore Magazine - an Australian design magazine. While it's frustrating that most of the shops and resources are Australian, it's fun to see what's hot down-under.
I haven't flipped through this most recent issue, but it's high on my to-do list.

And on February 1st (today!) a newbie joins the group - High Gloss. Some amazing design bloggers have come together to create this one, so I've got a good feeling about this one. As you read this blog posting, I will probably be devouring this new magazine.

Anthology is a new paper magazine that I'm going to start subscribing to...
As for other paper magazines that I read these days... Elle Decor, House Beautiful, Canadian House and Home, Traditional Home (which is much hipper than I would have expected.) Any good read I am missing? I tried Veranda once Dara Caponigro took over, but I didn't fall in love. Any more suggestions?

Best of the Best

Today I've got a roundup of some fabulous December magazines... Here's one of my favorites: Lonny, the online design mag. I am SO thrilled by their announcement, they will now be coming out with new content every month, rather than every other.

They featured some gorgeous tabletops...

I saw those placemats at a sample sale and am still kicking myself for not buying them!

Still lovin' gold flatware.

This home is absolutely adorable - totally shows that decorating is fun!

What a festive, happy December/Holiday issue!

J'Adore Adore

There are so many online magazines these days and I love it. Nothing better than sitting in my home office, wearing my Uggs (to keep my feet warm on this cold LA day), with my puppy sitting on my lap, reading a fabulous online design magazine!

Adore Home popped up in my inbox yesterday - it's an Australian magazine, so of course the email subject said "Adore Home magazine magazine summer issue out now." It took a second to register, but yes, of course it's summer there!

Here are some of my favorite looks from the mag.

Fabulous spread on ikat goodies. Even though it's freezing where I am, I'm loving this summer issue!
