Thanks Real Simple

Thanks Real Simple. I usually love Real Simple Magazine, but this urked me.

I was super excited to see their article on re-organizing your closet and making use of a small closet. (Because as much as I love a gorgeous walk-in closet, I'm stuck with a little one like in the first image below.)

Is it me, or did they just dump out the majority of the stuff in the closet? Then wallpaper and only keep what's color coordinated?! Where's the rest of the stuff? Hmph, annoying.

High Gloss Closets

I finalllllly got around to reading the newest issue of High Gloss Magazine - and it was filled with great inspiration images! I have to be honest, Rue and Lonny are the two design magazines that are my favorites, but there are so many other good ones out there, sometimes it's hard to keep up...

Anyways, here are my fav images from High Gloss - these amazing closet shots. It's giving me major closet envy. Closets are something I've blogged about lots these days... maybe it's time to take some of my hard earned $money$ and turn my sad little closet into something fabulous!

Did anyone else read the mag and notice the $5000 earrings and a $1000 scarf? Is it me, or are their goodies more than most people want to spend!?

Jeneration Fabulous

I have been a fan of Jennifer Dyer of Jeneration Interiors for a while - she has done a room in the Pasadena Showcase House for the past two years, and her rooms are always my favorite...

So it's no surprise that a spread of her work in this month's Lonny (which I devoured yesterday when I got home) was hands down my favorite.

This closet is my dream!

Closet Voyeur

Don't you just love to see inside other people's closets? I do. I get MAJOR closet envy, since I have a smaller closet in my house than I did in my previous two apartments. My closet envy isn't helped by this great blog - closetvisit by artist Jeana Sohn - which gives us a peek into the closets of some pretty stylish Angelenos.

I love jewelry on display!

If I could have my DREAM closet, it would look like a shop. Spacious. Funky. Well laid out so I never got bored of my same-old-clothes.

These two shops would be a great jumping off point for my dream closet...
Gossamer in Venice - exposed brick + warn wood floors + chandelier

Kiki de Montparnasse in Vegas - dark walls + gorgeous lighting + sexy sheers{two shop images above, an original article about Jeana Sohn from LA Confidential Magazine}

If you are thinking of organizing your closet - I love {this article} - a perfect checklist for anyone looking to create their dream closet.

Best of the Goods - In the Closet

I love my house. The floor plan, the style, the size, the decor, the people who live in it... But if I could change one thing, I'd have a killer walk in closet. Here are some of my favorite closets of all time from the blog...

Of course Kelly Wearstler, queen of style and design, has a closet to-die-for.

The closet (dressing room!) of Jenna Lyons, style director of J.Crew.

Closet in the Showtime Showcase house - I would love a closet that feels like a beautifully curated shop.

These images are from Domino way back in the day, but they are classic.

LOVE that mirrored armoire.
I have closet envy for sure.
