J Crew & the Home

When I flipped through the most recent J Crew catalog, I noticed that LOTS of their goodies were inspired by interior design trends.

Pattern Party - Chevron and Stripes Edition

I spent my twenties wearing solid colors. Yes, there was often some sort of flair - a ruffle, a fun trim, but in it seems these days we are all more comfortable rocking bold geometric patterns...

Love it in the home:

{rug by west elm}

And of course I'm loco for stripes on clothing...

I snapped a pic of this J. Crew top (using the hipstamatic iphone app, hence the funky colors)
Love it, though made a vow to myself that I am done buying striped tops and dresses - that niche is FULL in my wardrobe.

Here's the top on a proper model.

Loved these two striped J. Crew goodies as well...Stripes + Sequins = A No Brainer

Striped blazer? Might have to end my stripe hiatus for this bad boy.

And a striped scarf never hurt anyone...

Yay! Patterns for everyone!

Yarn Chevron

Yes, I'm chevron crazy. I post about it on the blog {here} and {here} most recently. And now I'm knitting in chevron too.

I get an email newsletter from a local yarn/knitting shop Stitch Cafe (which you should REALLY check out if you live in LA) - I couldn't resist when they emailed about this chevron pattern scarf!
I bought enough yarn for two scarves - one (that I'm currently working on) is green + blue. The other is pink + purple. Can't wait to share the final product!

Chevron will never die...

I can't imagine a time when I won't LOVE everything chevron. I'm sure that day will come eventually, but until then I will continue to drool over all these gorgeous goodies...

The Glam Lamb posted this insane kitchen the other day (via pretty space.) I would trade my granite for this chevron in an instant.

I adore this Elle Decor entry.

Lonny wowed me with this living room - the chevron media cabinet is killer.

I'm tempted to buy this adorable yellow chevron pillow from etsy to start off my yellow and gray bedroom (though I have about 10 unused pillows at home right now - but none are yellow!)

I've been eyeing these chevron calling cards from Made By Girl...

Rue Magazine has these chevron love notes as a free download!

Chevrons forever!

I love a chevron on a wall - drapes, painted or any other way!

Chevron on a piece of furniture is genius.
Do you spot the chevron media cabinet? Wish I came up with that!Lonny

Painting a chevron motif on the outside of your restaurant is just plain wacky, but here in LA at Malo, it totally works!
